Created in 2006, the
Tax Increment Financing District #1, with over 370 acres, was created to encourage accelerated residential and commercial development in selected areas of the City. Levelland, Texas established the TIF #1 to help offset new development cost through partnerships with developers on upfront infrastructure expenses.
